Open Arms Special Needs Ministry

Through the Special Needs Ministry at Clements Baptist Church, we reach out to individuals with special needs and their families. We want to love and lead all people – regardless of the challenges they face – to a life of faith in Jesus Christ. While Jesus was on Earth He demonstrated that He had a special place in his heart for those whom society tends to reject. We want to reflect that same heart in the way we love and care for all people. We understand that every person is important to God, including those with developmental and physical disabilities. “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at his heart. ” 1Samuel 16:7b

Our Special Needs Ministry offers both children and adult Sunday School classes, as well as Extended Care sessions during Worship Services.

Clements Baptist Church also hosts Respite Nights on the 2nd Friday night of each month here on campus from 6-9 pm. Respite care provides dinner and a fun evening of games and fellowship for persons with special needs and their siblings. This ministry provides parents and caregivers an opportunity for a brief period of rest.
