Pastor Tim has been senior pastor of the Clements Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama since October 1994. His weekly radio, television, Internet and Defining Moment Ministry reaches thousands of homes not only in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee but throughout the United States as well as internationally. Pastor Tim is known for his practical preaching and strong gift of exhortation. His seminary education stems from Samford University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to serving as the Senior Pastor of Clements Baptist Church, Pastor Tim serves as the President and Director of International Congress on Revival (ICR) in South Africa, Budapest Hungary, and South America. In addition, he also sits on the Board of Regents, University of Mobile. Pastor Tim and his wife Sherry have three children, two daughters in love, one son in love, and two precious granddaughters.
A native of Alabama, Dr. Lackey grew up in the Cheaha Mountains of Talladega County and graduated from Munford High School. He and Sue, his wife of more than 50 years, are the parents of three daughters. Dr. Lackey received his education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Ministry. Dr. Lackey is active in his denomination on the local, state and national levels, having served as President and Vice-President of the Alabama Baptist Convention, as a member of the executive committee and as a member of the Christian Life Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Lackey has served three churches in his almost three decades as a pastor: Calvary Baptist in Prattville, Alabama, First Baptist Church of Athens, Alabama, and Westside Baptist Church of Jasper, Alabama. He currently serves as Associate Pastor at Clements Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama, under the leadership of Pastor Tim Anderson. Dr. Lackey also currently serves as the Assistant to the President at the University of Mobile, a position he has held for more than a decade.
Craig Adams currently serves as Creative Director for LifeWay Worship Music Group in Nashville, TN. With more than 25 years of experience as a 5-time Dove Award-winning producer and arranger, Craig’s sphere of influence within the Christian music industry has become far-reaching. He is a professional member of the National Music Publishers Association and Gospel Music Association.
A published producer, songwriter, arranger, orchestrator and musician, Adams’ work has contributed to the success and ministry of such notable names as Sandi Patty, Steve Green, Sonic Flood, FFH, Margaret Becker, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Christ Church Choir, David M. Edwards, Maranatha Music, The Imperials, The Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, Miss Patty Cake, Word Records, Kingsway Music, Fervent Records, Autumn Records, Indelible Media Group, Brentwood Records, Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, Discovery House Music, Pacific Grove Productions, Lari Goss, Greg Nelson, Phillip Keveren, Discovery House Music, David T. Clydesdale, Camp Kirkland, Dennis and Nan Allen, Russell Mauldin, Geron Davis, Phillip Keveren, and countless others. Craig has also been commissioned to contribute literary content for noteworthy publications, Worship Leader Magazine, Let’s Worship Magazine and Broadman and Holman’s Worship Bible. He has also served on the adjunct faculty of the Music Business degree program at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Craig has a fiery passion for creating resources for worship ministry resource for the Church. It is this role in local church ministry that fueled his efforts as Creative Director for Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing for nearly six years and continues to motivate him in his current role as Creative Director for LifeWay Worship.
Craig resides in Franklin, TN with his wife of 18 years, Deanna, and 2 children, Madeline and Hayden. Living nearby is Craig’s father- veteran publisher, song/hymn writer, Steve Adams. Craig enjoys travel, tennis, church softball and backyard grill-outs with his family and church friends on a regular basis.
Bro. Brian Murphy currently serves as the Minister of Education at Clements. After graduating from Tennessee Temple University in 1998, he served as the Youth Pastor (1999 – 2003), then as the Senior Pastor (2003 – 2010) at a local church in Huntsville, Alabama. In 2010 God moved him, his wife Sherry, and their two boys, Grant and Ben, to Clements.
Caleb Gooch currently serves as the Student, College, and Young Singles Pastor at Clements Baptist Church. Graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Mechanical Engineering degree, he immediately began his career as an engineer with the Aviation Missile Research and Develop Engineering Center supporting the Apache Project Manager’s Office. In 2014, God called him and his wife, Kayla, into full time ministry to serve at Clements. They have been married since June 19, 2010. Kayla also serves at Clements as the Administrative Assistant to the Children’s Director.
Mandy Marbutt has served as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Clements Baptist Church since October 2004. She has worked with preschoolers and children for over 30 years in Sunday school, VBS, camps, schools and learning center settings. As Director of Children’s Ministries, Mandy administrates the overall Children’s Ministry (birth-6th grade), which includes teacher training, Sunday school, VBS, AWANA and other vital functions in the Children’s Ministry. She has served on the Alabama Baptist Convention State Board of Missions VBS team in 2010 and 2012 and will be the State VBS Director for the 2015 VBS state tour. Over the years, Mandy has served on many mission VBS teams both here in the US and overseas. Mandy and her husband, Barry have been married since September 1992 and have one daughter, Anna. Barry and Mandy chose Clements to be their church home in 2002. Barry, Mandy and Anna faithfully serve the Lord with all aspects of the Children’s Ministry.
